WARNING! If Mind Provoking Post Causes Mental Stimulation for More Than Four Hours…

It completely and udderly SUCKS.
As hard as it is for me to be gone, my wife is home alone with three crazy kids, who just want to see their Dad. She definitely has got the tougher end of the deal.
In situations similar to ours, it can be tough to paint a rosy picture and see the upside of the situation. Both my wife and I have our moments and it seems like when one of us is down the other is there to pick the other one up. One thing I know, is that I REALLY dislike being away from my wife and kids.
During my commute back to my temporary home (which I am so grateful to have, thank you guys for giving me a place to stay!) I was contemplating on how to get my mind right and see the positive effect that my work will have on our future lives. Since the world works in mysterious ways, I heard something that Coach John Wooden had said, not sure if it is the exact quote but here it goes…
“Things work out best for those who make the best of things that work out.”
Just hearing this, immediately changed my perspective. All at once, I remembered that it really is up to me. Up to me too make the best of whatever obstacle is placed in front of me. I had to remind myself, because it is easy to forget sometimes. Those negative thoughts start creeping in and they need to be shot down like a SCUD missile.
Remember this as well, with every obstacle, comes opportunity, lets call it the yin and yang of the world, one of those universal laws that cannot be broken. Only thing is, these opportunities can can be like a street sign covered by tree limbs, you won’t know it’s there unless you are tuned in and aware of your surroundings. If you’re not, you’ll pass it by and never even know it was there.
So if you feel like nothing is working out for you, make a shift in your focus, seek opportunity in every situation. Opportunity (big or small) to make an investment in someone’s life, in yourself, in your business, financial statement, anything. See the opportunity in the obstacle and then you will see progress up the path to achievement.
